On the Monday we had a group meeting to discuss various
aspects of our commissioned show. We pencilled in a few dates of when we’d like
to film our inserts within the coming weeks. We also started to plan how we
would like our intro to the show and planned an advert, which we would try to
show on the channel to publicise it.
One of our prospective presenters still hadn’t got back to
me and I had emailed him the previous Tuesday. This detail was holding back
some of our planning so it was important to try and get a response as soon as
possible. I asked Lou Appleby if there was a possibility of obtaining his phone
number from the Universities database, because he had not left it with the
office when he auditioned. Once I got his number, I phoned him straight away,
which resulted in an immediate reply and an agreement for him to be in our
show.
Once this was done I went about discovering when everyone
was free so that we could book the studio to see how all of the male presenters
worked together, as well as film our show’s introduction. Everyone was free on
Monday afternoon so I booked the studio 2-4, which although partially clashes
with our TV TRANS meeting with Gary at 3:40, it should be fine.
This shows how it can be very hard to find a suitable time
where everyone is available as well as when the studio is free. Finally,
Michael Parsons and myself drew up a plan of action for the next 4 weeks and
tried to work out when we would carry out the individual tasks for each section
of the show.
