First class honours graduate in Television and Broadcasting with
experience in television running and producing television programmes in a
university studio and in outside broadcasts.
EDUCATION
2010 – 2013 BSc
(Hons.) Television and Broadcasting,
University
of Portsmouth
Degree focussed on all the practical aspects that combine to make a
television programme that is suitable for broadcast. This course enabled me to
develop abilities to:
- Show
good organisation and team management skills whilst assuming studio roles
such as producer and production assistant;
- Establish
and maintain working relationships with a range of clients;
- Use
Avid Media Composer during post-production to ingest and edit videos;
- Use a
variety of computer graphic packages including Adobe Photoshop, Flash, and
Director for a range of purposes;
- Use an
array of basic film making equipment such as Sony PMW-EX1 cameras,
Dedolights, MixPre field mixer, and a selection of microphones;
- Undertake
research for the purpose of planning and scriptwriting television shows;
- Complete
a variety of production paperwork for the purpose of organising and
clearing television shows;
- Producer
of several television programmes and videos including 'The Sky's The
Limit', 'Television and Broadcasting promotional video', ‘CCi Live’, ‘The
Manual’ and ‘The Writer Behind The Block’.

- Researching and
obtaining items to be used in production;

production materials to be used on location;

sent out to garner interest in a new production;

- Looking after the crew
and presenters refreshment requirements;
- Picking out suitable
tweets to be read at half time and full time;
- Carrying out various
requests to help ensure the show runs smoothly, including sourcing and
analysing informational materials;
- Filling in at other
positions when required such as autocue operator and telephone operator on
‘The Clock End’ phone-in show.

around the world to the high standard that is expected;

that the shop is well stocked and visually appealing;

members whilst they settle in;

HOBBIES AND
INTERESTS
- Having
a strong interest in film and television, including going to the cinema
regularly to see the latest film releases and using my own GoPro Hero3
camera for various projects;
- A keen
viewer of a range of sport, including football, tennis, cricket and American
football;
- Leading
an active lifestyle including running, playing football, tennis, skiing
and going to the gym.
ACHIEVEMENTS
- First
Class Honours degree in BSc Television and Broadcasting;
- Winner
of the BSkyB Award for Best Creative Technologies Broadcasting Project
2013;
- Completing
personal challenges such as the 2011 Great South Run whilst raising money
for the Meningitis Trust;
- TQUK
Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (QCF);
- Own a
clean drivers licence passed at the age of 18.
